There are so many ways you can make money online from simply
setting up a business selling items on eBay, setting up a business with
an online shopping cart or affiliate marketing plus many more.
The simplest way for a beginner to make money online is to start with affiliate marketing. This is where you promote another person's product and earn a commission for each sale.
The advantage of carrying out affiliate marketing is that you do not need to create your own product. All you need to do is to go to an affiliate network, sign up, select a product to promote and you are on your way.
How to promote?
Again there are a lot of ways to promote your chosen product. Choosing the right way all depends on you. You used to be able to create AdWord campaigns in Google and link directly to your affiliate link to make commissions but they do not allow this anymore. Other options you have would be as follows -
Paid Adverts on Related Sites - This would be where you search the internet for similar sites related to your product and email them asking how much it would be to advertise. It is important to ensure you don't go to a direct competitor, you ask how much traffic the site receives (to make sure you don't pay over the odds for your ad), ask where your ad will be placed (closer to the top the better) and negotiate the price down. You should be able to get a banner from the affiliate network you have signed up for.
Article Marketing - This is where you simply write an article around the subject of the product you are looking to sell. This could be a review of the product, a story of how you found the product and how it helped you or a simple "how to" article. It is important to research thoroughly and give quality unique content (do not just copy something else you have found online), make it interesting and captivate your readers and, of course, make sure you include your affiliate link.
Blogging - This is becoming increasingly popular as a lot of new blogs appear online daily. You can do something similar to article marketing. The great addition to this is that you can add more pages with several articles, stories etc to make it more interesting. You can do this for free online by searching on Google for free blogs such as WordPress, Blogger etc.
The most difficult thing for the 2 latter options is getting people to your article/blog. There are several ways to do this from promoting it through your own social network, Facebook, Twitter etc.
If you are a complete beginner then a good option is to purchase some software to do the work for you (otherwise it can be very time consuming for very little reward!).
