Affiliate marketing is my favorite method for generating an income through blogging.
This method involves signing up with affiliate programs and promoting them via your blog for a percentage of the sales.
You can make anywhere from a few dollars to thousands for each sale. The possibilities are endless since there are tens of thousands of affiliate programs online ranging from popular and well known merchants like Amazon, iTunes, Target and Walmart to little known merchants belonging to networks like ClickBank and Paydotcom.
Writing reviews and articles on these products and putting them on your blog is one way to generate an income with affiliate marketing. You can also use your blog to build a list of email subscribers that you can market to.
3. Selling Products and Services
This is yet another option you can use. I know some popular people like authors who's blogs are based around their books and writings. Musicians also have blogs to connect with their fans and market their music.
In much the same way, you can sell your own products and services from your blog. You may be an expert at something. Why not create a guide that shows people how to do that something. Sell it from your blog in addition to the other methods mentioned here.
There are others who run membership sites, sell physical goods and promote their writing services via their blog.
Imagination as well as using what is available is the key to generating income from your blog.
