Affiliate Marketing Tips: How to Get Your First 100 Subscribers And Make Your First $100 Online!

The longest journey begins with the first step... What does it mean to you affiliate marketing apprentice? Forget the "one million dollars just by pushing a single button" hypes, they don't help you anything with your business except making you feel frustrated and go bankrupt! It's time to write down realistic goals and take some actions to achieve it! And the following affiliate marketing tips will help you.
Tip #1: Find out your niche first
To do this, you will need some keyword research tools such as Google Keyword Tool, or some websites you can get niche ideas from such as eBay, Amazon, ClickBank, Article Directories (EzineArticles, ArticleDashboard, etc).
If you want to find out niche ideas with Google Keyword Tool, just type in the search box some keywords like "how to", "get rid", "improve", "fix", "cure", etc, and see what comes up. Because those keywords imply urgency from searchers, therefore you will know exactly what they want, and their wants are niches you can target.
Another way to light-bulb your brain with niches is to go to Websites such as eBay, Amazon, ClickBank digging into their categories, sub-categories. Because they have sorted their products according to customers' specific interests, therefore, you can leverage their efforts to find out your niche.
When you begin, it'll be easier to look for niches that you're interested in than to go after niches that you don't want to talk about.
Tip #2: Create a compelling free gift to give away
Because it will ethically bribe your visitors to sign up to your list. And because you want your subscribers to stay on your list as long as possible, make sure that the free gift is worthwhile.
By now, you've defined what niche you're going after. The next step is to define one of your niche's problems and bring its answer to your audience in form of a free gift.
You can do a Google search for your niche's forums by typing in "niche + forums" (substitute "niche" with your niche, "acne remedy forums" for example) and you will have plenty of results. Dig into them to find out some problems facing your niche, and the answers you need. Package them into a short report (10 - 15 pages long) to give away to your visitors once they land on your site.
Tip #3: Drive as much traffic using free methods to your site as you can
They are article marketing, forum marketing, joining online give away events, social network marketing, etc. Whatever you do, make sure that you direct that traffic back to your squeeze page to build your list.
It's fine if you concentrate on only some of those methods that you find are most effective. For example, you can focus on article marketing and forum marketing only and forget about the rest. But if you can do all of them, it's even better.
After about 2 weeks, you might have a list of 100 subscribers or more (if done properly). Your job now is to maintain good relationship with them, treat them well by provide even more useful information through your emails. And when you think it's time to promote them your product, feel free to do it. Your sales message doesn't have to be long, just tell them some main points and give them the link.
If only 3 out of 100 people buy through your link with $33 each sale, you've made your first $100!
By now I hope you see how doable this mission is. Don't set out unrealistic goals because they will annihilate your motivation fast once you can't achieve them in time. Instead, write down achievable goals to work with first and make a new one once you finish the first goal! Believe me, you'll be more confident with your business!
